Click here to see the video. It was on ABC4 TV in Salt Lake City. It's a little into the video so you have to wait a bit to see them talk up the greatest golf balls on the plant, NoWaterBalls. We were spotlighted in the Sensible Shopper series for great gifts under 10 dollars. We've also noticed increased traffic to the site. Pretty exciting stuff. Well the NoWaterBall.com home office got blasted with snow this past weekend and today. Maybe we should start on a No Snow ball to keep the cold weather away ?

Things inside have heated up though. Our packaging prints came back and look great. We sent them out with the latest orders. So if you see them in your order let us know what you think, by posting a comment here.

Rumor also has it that we will be featured in a Holiday Gift Guide for ABC 4 News in Salt Lake City, Utah. More to come on that.

Bar Code Goodness

So being the small (tiny) company that we are, we have had to do quite a bit of research on getting a bar code or UPC for our product. I did not know that there is a Uniform Code Council that oversees all of the bar codes given out to all the manufacturers in the world. I guess it does make sense though, what's the point of a UPC without it being universal. In any event it is expensive and we are hoping to find a better solution. In fact we may have found one. More to come on that when we know more.

The final package design has been submitted and is hopefully nearing completion. We will update the site when we have it.

What we are up to now

Currently we are working on better packaging for the NoWaterBalls. What we have got us through the first year, but we have some great ideas on our next revision. Better packaging will allow people to get the joke of NoWaterBalls without seeing the website first. And if the package can make you laugh, all the better.

Hello and welcome to the http://www.nowaterball.com/ blog. For those of you coming from the http://www.nowaterball.com/ website, we hope you enjoyed it, and of course bought some of our golf balls. This Blog is an attempt to let you know what our team is up to in terms of the NoWaterBall brand as well as all the crazy Ideas that go through our head.

Our goal is simple. To put the fun back in golf. My partners and I are about the worst bunch of golfers that you could ever find. And nothing is more frustrating to us than teeing up and slicing one into the water. As a joke, I scribbled a logo of a few waves and a 'No' circle (like no smoking) on my ball with a marker, got my partner laughing as I bet him I would hit it over the water this time, and what do you know I knocked the ball over the water and onto the green. NoWaterBalls were born.

The question that we get most over email is, do these really work and are you guys crazy ? And our answer is of course they do, but you might want to read the disclaimer on our site!
